Orange Cosmos

Native to Mexico, these hardy plants are well-suited to withstand high heat and drought, bringing natural beauty and resilience to your garden. With a rich history, these flowers were discovered by Spanish conquistadors on their search for gold in Mexico. Mission gardens often featured them, and priests named them “cosmos,” meaning a harmonious whole, due to their perfectly arranged petals. Cosmos flowers eventually made their way to England in the late 18th century through Spanish ambassadors, and to the U.S. in the 19th century, becoming beloved for their beauty and easy care.
