Description

This variety produces beautifully elongated, plum-shaped fruits that are dense with juicy, meaty flesh and minimal seeds—making it ideal for sauces, pastes, and canning. As part of the Roma project, we evaluated dozens of Roma varieties and identified three with similar characteristics but distinct differences in the shape, shoulders, and pointiness of the fruit. This variety stands out for its consistent performance and superior flavor, offering a harmonious balance of sweet and tangy notes. Its velvety texture makes it perfect for slow-simmering into thick, flavorful sauces or roasting to bring out its rich, caramelized sweetness. PI 701116
